Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join an exciting company developing next-generation autonomous systems and AI-driven platforms. In this role, you will design and build the core real-time data infrastructure, working on high-throughput streaming pipelines and lakehouse solutions that process large-scale, real-time data in mission-critical environments.

Active Israeli Security Clearance – Must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, low-latency data pipelines handling millions of real-time messages.
• Architect and implement distributed streaming frameworks and lakehouse solutions supporting both real-time operations and large-scale analytics.
• Take full ownership of the data infrastructure lifecycle — from system architecture and data modeling to deployment, monitoring, optimization, and security.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, AI/Algorithm engineers, and product teams to integrate complex data models and simulation telemetry.
• Optimize system throughput, memory usage, and cloud infrastructure to support high-scale, low-latency environments.
• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and production-grade distributed systems.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience building production-grade data or backend systems using Python or Java/Spring.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS Kinesis.
• Proven experience building and maintaining near real-time data processing systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and designing schemas for high-concurrency systems.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and distributed state management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and a proactive, get-things-done approach.
