Hardware Engineer

The company develops a life-saving, field-proven optical-radar platform engineered to detect, classify, and track aerial threats and UAS in real time, delivering high-precision tracking and comprehensive spatial coverage.

Operating with an elite core founding and engineering team, the company offers substantial technical ownership and direct impact on deploying mission-critical defense systems in real-world scenarios.

The company is located in the Central / Sharon region and operates on a flexible hybrid work model with two days working from home.

Role Description-

• Serving as a Hardware & Embedded System Integration Engineer, stepping into an impactful, greenfield position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
• Serving as a hands-on System Integrator, taking full ownership of transforming prototypes into robust, field-grade, and commercially deployable electro-optical defense systems.
• Integrating multidisciplinary hardware subsystems—including high-end Cameras, Optical Sensors, Edge AI Computing Units, Embedded Boards, Power Supplies, and Custom Electronics.
• Leading board bring-up, hardware-software integration, system-level debugging, and bench testing in laboratory and field test environments.
• Collaborating closely with Software, Algorithm, and Optical engineers to bridge physical hardware with embedded software and firmware layers.
• Ensuring system reliability, environmental compliance, thermal stability, and operational readiness for defense deployments.

Requirements-

• Proven career track record across at least 2 substantial tenures/companies as a Hardware Engineer – Mandatory
• Hands-on engineering experience working on Defense / Military / Ruggedized Systems – Mandatory
• Deep, practical experience with Cameras, Optical Sensors, or Electro-Optical (EO/IR) Subsystems – Mandatory
• Solid technical background and hands-on familiarity with Software / Embedded Firmware / Scripting (e.g., C/C++, Python, Linux) – Mandatory
• Extensive hands-on experience in System Integration, Board Bring-Up, Cable Harnesses, Power Distribution, and Hardware Debugging – Mandatory
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical engineering background – Significant Advantage
• Experience with Edge AI Computing platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson), high-speed communication interfaces (GigE, USB3, MIPI, PCIe), or field testing – Significant Advantage
