Backend Engineer

A high-velocity, well-funded Israeli AI & Workflow Intelligence startup engineering a next-generation platform for building intelligent internal tools and autonomous AI Agents (AI Teammates).

The platform empowers organizations to automate complex operational workflows, data extraction, analysis, and research, supported by a rich template marketplace.

With proven market adoption and over 200 paying enterprise and B2B customers, the company operates an elite core team of ~20 professionals in central Tel Aviv, offering deep full-stack and GenAI challenges.

Located in central Tel Aviv (walking distance from the train station), operating on a hybrid model.

Role Description-

• Serving as a Senior Full Stack / AI Software Engineer, joining an organic core engineering squad of 5 developers reporting directly to the R&D Lead.
• Architecting, developing, and deploying scalable backend services and complex AI agent workflows primarily in Python (70–80%), alongside rich user interfaces in React / TypeScript (20–30%).
• Designing and building production-grade Autonomous AI Agents, Agentic Workflows, and Tool-Calling Integrations capable of complex reasoning, document parsing, and real-time task automation.
• Engineering robust data models, APIs, and cloud infrastructure across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Contributing to core system architecture, multi-tenant SaaS scaling, and low-latency LLM pipeline optimization.
• Collaborating closely with Product, Design, and AI researchers to rapidly ship high-impact features for hundreds of paying customer organizations.

Requirements-

• Proven background from at least one of the following: Elite IDF Tech Units (R&D), Academic Excellence / High GPA (Top University / Reichman), Former Startup Founders/Entrepreneurs, or Top-Tier Tech Companies – Mandatory
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience with modern backend technologies (Python, Node.js, or Go) – Mandatory
• Proven hands-on production experience in AI / Generative AI Engineering (building autonomous AI Agents, LLM-based applications, multi-agent frameworks, or custom tool-calling integrations) – Mandatory
• At least 1+ year of hands-on frontend experience developing with React and TypeScript/JavaScript – Mandatory
• Strong hands-on experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and cloud infrastructure (AWS) – Mandatory
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, and asynchronous programming – Mandatory
• Full professional fluency in Hebrew – Mandatory
• Excellent problem-solving skills, strong product orientation, and a fast-paced "0-to-1" builder mindset – Mandatory
