Head of Finance

A leading, fast-growing fintech company at the intersection of payments and employee benefits is looking for a Head of Finance to join the company at a key stage of its growth.

This is a unique opportunity to build and lead the company’s finance function from the ground up, take a central role in its continued growth, and serve as a key business partner to the CEO and management team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead the company’s finance function, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, and treasury
• Take full responsibility for financial reporting, controls, and the company’s ongoing financial operations
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, credit facilities, and suppliers
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, budget control, and performance analysis
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support business decision-making
• Partner closely with the CEO and management team on strategic and business decisions
• Build financial processes, controls, and infrastructure to support the company’s rapid growth and future scale
• Manage two bookkeepers, with responsibility for building and expanding the finance team as the company grows
• Combine a hands-on approach with a broad business perspective and the ability to build a finance function designed for a significantly larger organization

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Controller
• Experience in companies with commercial, digital, e-commerce, or consumer-facing operations – an advantage
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Proven ability to build processes and infrastructure from the ground up, while remaining highly hands-on
• Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate financial data into business insights
• Highly driven, proactive, independent, and execution-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
• Motivation to take an active role in building and scaling a fast-growing company
