AI-enabled Deep-Tech startup developing a next-generation computational medical imaging platform.

The company is building a new imaging technology that combines wave physics, Signal Processing, advanced numerical methods, Deep Learning and large-scale multi-GPU computing to reconstruct high-quality, quantitative 3D images from raw sensor data.

More than 20 employees and is exceptionally well-funded, providing strong stability and the resources required to solve ambitious, long-term scientific and engineering challenges.

Its core R&D team is based in Israel, with a presence in the United States and a product designed for the global healthcare market.

The role reports directly to the VP of Research, who holds an M.Sc. from Oxford University and is currently completing a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Algorithm Developer to join the core algorithm team and help design, develop and optimise the technology powering the imaging platform.

This is a true Research-to-Production role. You will not only explore new ideas and develop prototypes, but also turn advanced mathematical and scientific concepts into reliable, efficient, production-quality solutions.

You will work with real-world sensor data and take part in the full development process: mathematical modelling, algorithm design, implementation, simulation, laboratory validation, performance optimisation and integration into the product.

The role also includes direct collaboration with clinicians and clinical research teams, understanding real medical workflows and translating unmet clinical needs into practical imaging solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and optimise advanced imaging and reconstruction algorithms.
• Build Signal Processing pipelines for raw sensor data.
• Develop numerical methods for large-scale computational problems.
• Work with mathematical models, simulations and inverse problems.
• Develop and integrate Deep Learning models into imaging workflows.
• Work in multi-GPU environments to accelerate algorithm performance.
• Validate algorithms using theoretical analysis, simulations, experimental data and laboratory testing.
• Write clean, efficient and production-quality Python.
• Take solutions from initial research and proof of concept through implementation, optimisation and product integration.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, physicists, researchers, hardware teams and clinicians.

What You Must Bring

• At least 3 years of hands-on algorithm development experience.
• At least 3 years of meaningful Signal Processing experience.
• Excellent Python development skills.
• Strong software engineering capabilities beyond research code or notebooks.
• A strong foundation in mathematical modelling and numerical methods.
• Experience independently solving complex technical and multidisciplinary problems.
• The ability to design, implement, test and optimise algorithms end-to-end.
• Experience turning research concepts into working, maintainable software.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• M.Sc./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics or a related field, or exceptional equivalent technological and research experience.
