QuantBias is building a Behavioral Intelligence Platform for capital markets.

Trading organizations measure results through P&L, returns and risk, but they often lack the ability to measure the quality of the decisions that produced those results.

A profitable trade may come from a poor decision process, while a losing trade may still have been disciplined, rational and consistent with the organization’s strategy.

QuantBias aims to help professional trading organizations understand and improve decision-making under uncertainty by analyzing:

• Decision quality independently from financial outcome
• Cognitive biases and behavioral patterns
• Trading discipline and consistency
• Adherence to strategies, playbooks and risk rules
• Individual, team and organizational decision patterns
• The context in which trading decisions were made

Our long-term vision is to build the behavioral intelligence layer of the financial markets.

We are looking for a highly capable Founding CTO / Technical Co-Founder to work directly with the founder and lead QuantBias from technical architecture and MVP development through pilot deployment and scale.

This is not a purely managerial CTO position.

The right person will be deeply involved in product definition, architecture and hands-on development, while gradually building and leading the company’s technical team.

You will have meaningful influence over the product, technology, team and strategic direction of the company.

• Translate the company’s vision into a practical technical roadmap
• Define the architecture of the MVP and the long-term platform
• Lead and actively participate in the development of the first product
• Build secure data-ingestion and processing infrastructure
• Design systems for behavioral analysis, decision-quality measurement and cognitive-bias detection
• Develop AI-powered tools for traders and trading managers
• Integrate with trading systems, financial data sources and organizational platforms
• Establish model-testing, evaluation, monitoring and explainability processes
• Prepare the product for enterprise pilots with professional trading organizations
• Define engineering standards, development processes and technical documentation
• Recruit and lead the initial engineering, data and AI team
• Participate in meetings with design partners, investors and strategic partners

The initial QuantBias platform is expected to include:

• Historical trade and decision-data ingestion
• Decision-quality scoring
• Cognitive-bias detection and classification
• Trader and team behavioral profiles
• Strategy and playbook-adherence analysis
• Pre-trade, during-trade and post-trade intelligence
• AI coaching for traders and managers
• Organizational dashboards and behavioral reporting
• Explainable behavioral scoring models
• Secure enterprise APIs and integrations

The platform will learn from each organization’s historical trades, decisions, strategies, risk rules, playbooks and behavioral patterns.

The title matters less than your ability to build.

• Strong hands-on software engineering and system-architecture experience
• Experience building complex products from an early stage
• Proven ability to take a product from concept to production
• Experience with backend systems, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure
• Strong understanding of data pipelines and data-intensive applications
• Experience with applied AI, machine learning or advanced analytics
• Ability to evaluate when to use rule-based systems, statistical models, machine learning or LLMs
• Experience designing reliable, secure and scalable systems
• Strong product thinking and business understanding
• Ability to operate effectively under uncertainty
• Experience hiring, mentoring or leading technical teams
• High ownership, integrity and intellectual curiosity
• Strong English communication skills

Experience in one or more of the following areas is a significant advantage:

• Fintech or capital-markets technology
• Trading systems, OMS, EMS or portfolio-management platforms
• Financial-data or market-data infrastructure
• Risk-management systems
• Behavioral analytics
• Decision-support systems

Direct trading-industry experience is preferred but not mandatory. Exceptional technical ability, strong learning capacity and genuine interest in the problem are more important.

The final technology stack will be defined together with the CTO. Relevant experience may include:
