Senior Software Engineer

I’m recruiting for a technology company developing intelligent infrastructure for the energy sector.

The company is building a large-scale platform that combines distributed systems, real-time optimization and AI to help address the challenges facing the power grid over the coming decades.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join a small, high-quality R&D team in Tel Aviv. This role offers significant ownership and direct influence over the product, system architecture and engineering practices.

What will you do?

• Design and build reliable, scalable production systems

• Lead complex technical initiatives from architecture through production

• Work across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, data, APIs and DevOps

• Use modern AI-assisted and agentic software development workflows

• Maintain high standards across testing, observability, security, maintainability and code quality

• Collaborate across software, algorithms, energy systems, hardware integrations and real-world operations

What do you need?

• 10+ years of software engineering experience

• Strong hands-on Python development experience

• Hands-on production experience with AWS

• A proven track record of building reliable and scalable production systems

• Strong experience in software architecture and distributed systems

• Experience working with data, APIs and DevOps

• A broad system perspective combined with a fully hands-on approach

• High engineering standards and a strong production mindset

• Curiosity, versatility and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, multidisciplinary startup environment

• A great sense of humor
