Software Team Leader

We are seeking a highly technical Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a squad of ~5 exceptional engineers building the core infrastructure of our next-generation cyber security platform. In this role, you will balance people management with deep technical leadership—driving platform architecture, tackling complex low-level engineering challenges, and building resilient systems that power real-time detection and automated response.

Core Responsibilities

• Engineering Leadership: Mentor, recruit, and foster a high-performing engineering team centered on technical excellence and clear ownership.
• Architecture & Strategy: Shape the long-term technical roadmap and architecture for our core backend and agent infrastructure.
• Cross-Platform Systems: Drive the development of scalable, high-concurrency components across Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• High-Scale Infrastructure: Solve complex engineering puzzles spanning multi-threading, memory optimization, low latency, and distributed system reliability.
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with Product Management, Security Researchers, and Platform teams to deliver enterprise-grade capabilities.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of professional experience engineering complex backend, infrastructure, or low-level systems software.
• Leadership Track Record: Proven experience direct-managing software engineering teams in high-growth startup or technology environments.
• Low-Level / Agent Mastery: Strong technical foundation in agent-based architecture, operating system internals, and runtime performance tuning.
• High-Concurrency Engineering: Deep understanding of multithreading, memory management, and high-throughput systems design.
• Technical Stack: Mastery of compiled/systems languages such as Go, C++, or Rust.
• Cross-Platform Depth: Hands-on familiarity with multi-OS environments (Windows, Linux, and macOS).

Advantages

• Prior background in Cybersecurity products (e.g., Endpoint Security, EDR/XDR, or Posture Management).
• Practical experience with high-volume telemetry ingestion, system metrics, and real-time behavioral analysis.
• Background in architecting enterprise-scale SaaS backend platforms.
