Senior Laboratory Technician

DustPhotonics, now part of Credo, develops cutting-edge Silicon Photonics technology for high-performance data center connectivity.

We are looking for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join our team in Modiin and support electro-optical testing, characterization, and development activities.

This is a hands-on technical role in an advanced electro-optics laboratory, working closely with engineers and physicists and using a variety of optical and electrical measurement equipment.

Position: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Perform optical and electrical measurements of electro-optical components and devices.
• Operate laboratory equipment such as optical power meters, lasers, OSA, SMUs and other electrical/optical instrumentation.
• Set up and maintain optical and electrical measurement setups.
• Execute characterization and test procedures according to defined instructions.
• Record, organize, and analyze measurement data.
• Support engineers and physicists with experiments, development activities, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with assembly, alignment, and handling of optical components and devices.
• Identify measurement/setup issues and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience in an electro-optics, optics, electronics, semiconductor, photonics, or similar laboratory environment.
• Relevant technical education, such as: Practical Engineer / Technician in Electronics, Optics or Electro-Optics.
• Relevant technical experience gained through military service or working at university labs related to electronics or electro-optics.
• Hands-on experience operating electrical and/or optical measurement equipment.
• Good technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with sensitive equipment and components.
• Capability to document test results and follow technical procedures.
