• Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Data & AI leader to build and lead the organization’s enterprise-wide Data & AI capabilities and turn data into a strategic business asset.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for defining the Data & AI strategy, building the enterprise Data Platform / Lakehouse, establishing Data Governance, and leading cross-organizational Data, Analytics and AI initiatives.

• Define and lead the organization’s Data & AI strategy and multi-year roadmap
• Build and manage the central Data & AI function
• Lead the implementation of an enterprise Data Lake / Lakehouse
• Establish Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata, Catalog and Lineage standards
• Drive a Data Mesh operating model across business domains
• Promote Data Products, business ownership and Self-Service Analytics
• Define semantic layers, enterprise KPIs and shared business metrics
• Lead cross-functional BI, Analytics and Data initiatives
• Manage and professionally guide Data Architects, Data Engineers, BI / Analytics teams, Project Managers and DevOps
• Partner closely with senior management, business units, IT, Information Security and external vendors

✔ 5+ years of experience in a senior Data leadership or significant Data Lead role

✔ Strong background as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or Data Lead

✔ Hands-on experience designing and implementing complex Data solutions

✔ Experience building or leading Cloud-based Data Lake / Lakehouse environments

✔ Strong knowledge of platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform, or similar

✔ Deep experience with ETL/ELT, Data Pipelines, SQL, Data Modeling and system integrations

✔ Strong understanding of modern Data architectures, including Bronze / Silver / Gold layers and Data Products

✔ Experience with Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata, Catalog and Lineage

✔ Strong business orientation and the ability to translate business needs into scalable Data solutions

✔ Proven ability to lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives
