Safety Officer

About the Role

Tamam Division, part of the Missile & Space Systems Group, is looking for a Safety Officer to join our team.

The role includes:

• Developing and implementing the annual safety management plan for the plant

• Conducting risk assessments at the plant’s work sites, including campus facilities, test fields, and integration sites in Israel and abroad

• Providing safety guidance for employees’ day-to-day activities, with an emphasis on non-routine operations

• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures, instructions, and required safety measures

• Managing and supporting the plant’s safety trustees

• Maintaining knowledge of Israeli safety regulations and IAI safety procedures, and conducting internal safety audits

• Providing safety briefings for overseas travel and assessing the safety of international sites

• Working with contractors and employees and delivering safety briefings in accordance with IAI procedures

• Monitoring the completion of safety-related tasks and the correction of identified hazards

• Investigating the circumstances of workplace accidents and defining measures to ensure appropriate safety conditions

• Representing the plant before IAI headquarters and external regulatory authorities on safety-related matters

• Reporting directly to the Deputy Plant Manager

What Are We Looking For?

• 4+ years of experience as a Safety Officer in an industrial plant or within one of the security organizations – mandatory

• Experience working with explosives – strong advantage

• Academic/technical education in a technological field, preferably Electronics or Mechanical Engineering – an advantage
