Software Development Team Lead | Leading Defense Organization | Central Israel

A leading defense organization in Central Israel is looking for an experienced Software Development Team Lead to lead a development team while remaining actively involved in hands-on development of complex Enterprise systems.

The role combines technical leadership, people management, Full Stack development, architecture, code quality, and cloud technologies, with end-to-end involvement throughout the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Manage and technically lead a software development team

• Lead the development of complex Enterprise systems throughout the full development lifecycle

• Support functional design and create detailed technical specifications

• Remain hands-on and provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers

• Lead detailed design processes and conduct Code Reviews

• Define development standards, best practices, and technical guidelines

• Participate in architecture and development infrastructure decisions

• Manage development tasks, priorities, and timelines

• Work in an Agile environment and support deployment processes across testing and production environments

• Lead solutions involving performance, scalability, permissions, and advanced Design Patterns

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of software development experience – required

• 3+ years of experience managing and technically leading a team of at least 5 developers – required

• 3+ years as a Development Team Lead or Lead Developer leading complex Enterprise systems – required

• 5+ years of Full Stack development experience – required

• Strong hands-on experience with React and backend development using Node.js and .NET – required

• Proven experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch – required

• 3+ years of Cloud development experience, with a strong emphasis on AWS – required

• Experience with development-focused CI/CD processes – required

• Experience working in Agile environments

• Strong experience with Code Reviews, detailed design, technical mentoring, and development best practices
