Mechanical Engineer – Optomechanics

🚀 A leading company specializing in the development of multidisciplinary products combining mechanics, optics, and electronics is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its Optomechanics team.

Role Description

• Lead mechanical development of new products from concept through mass production in the field of optomechanics.
• Design advanced military systems capable of operating in highly demanding environments, including extreme temperatures, shock, vibration, and underwater applications.
• Design components for plastic injection molding using advanced composite materials.
• Design and package electronic PCBs, including familiarity with electronic components at board level.
• Design flexible cable harnesses.
• Collaborate closely with industrial designers and optical engineers throughout the product development process.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical development.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in optomechanics, including the integration and mechanical packaging of optical elements down to the single-lens level.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, pressure die casting, investment casting, and related processes.
• Excellent command of SolidWorks.
• Strong ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
