Senior AI Researcher (Stealth Security Startup)

We are looking for a Senior AI Researcher to drive the core intelligence of our platform. You will design, train, and deploy lightweight, highly intelligent models optimized for low-latency execution directly on edge devices. You’ll be tackling complex sequence modeling, contextual anomaly detection, and real-time inference without compromising user privacy, system performance, or user experience.

What You’ll Do

• Edge-Optimized AI: Train, distill, and optimize compact yet powerful models capable of running on employee devices with ultra-low latency.
• Contextual Anomaly Detection: Move beyond isolated event triggers to construct multi-dimensional behavioral baselines—analyzing identity, access patterns, tool usage, and behavioral drift over time.
• Real-Time Defense: Architect real-time detection and response pipelines that balance strict performance budgets, data privacy constraints, and seamless UX.
• Autonomous Learning Systems: Build self-tuning AI infrastructure that continuously adapts to an organization's unique environment without relying on static rules or manual configuration.

Requirements

• LLM & GenAI Expertise: Proven track record in research and practical application of Large Language Models, model distillation, quantization, and fine-tuning.
• Strong Engineering Foundation: Hands-on software engineering capabilities with a deep understanding of productionizing models, system architecture, and performance optimization.
• Advanced Research Background: Strong experience with sequence modeling, time-series analysis, graph neural networks, or behavioral analytics.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in cybersecurity, threat detection, user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), or telemetry processing.
• Experience with on-device/edge AI deployment frameworks (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT, CoreML).
