Accounting Team Manager

A leading financial organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Team Manager for a key managerial position within its Finance Division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong leadership capabilities to take ownership of accounting activities, lead and develop a team, and play a key role in building, improving, and implementing financial processes across the organization.

The role combines professional accounting expertise, people management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and professionally manage an accounting team, including mentoring, development, and ongoing professional guidance.

Oversee accounting activities through trial balance and ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with accounting procedures.

Take ownership of accounting processes and support ongoing financial closing activities.

Build, improve, and implement efficient accounting workflows and processes.

Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and operational improvement.

Work closely with multiple stakeholders across the Finance Division and other business units.

Drive initiatives independently while engaging and collaborating with relevant interfaces across the organization.

Support the continued development and professionalization of the accounting function.

Requirements

Type 3 Bookkeeping Certificate - mandatory.

Proven experience in bookkeeping through trial balance - mandatory.

Previous people/team management experience - mandatory.

Experience in a medium-to-large organization or a complex business environment - significant advantage.

Experience building, implementing, or improving accounting processes - significant advantage.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders.

High level of initiative, independence, ownership, and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
