GENERAL MANAGER – AFRICA- French-Speaking

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to lead the African operations of an international company operating in the energy and infrastructure sector.

This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for the local business, including operations, P&L, commercial activities, customer relationships, people management and continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for the company's local operations and P&L

• Lead and manage the local organization and operational teams

• Ensure operational excellence and achievement of performance targets

• Manage relationships with key customers, partners and local stakeholders

• Oversee budgets, costs, procurement, logistics and suppliers

• Drive business growth and identify new commercial opportunities

• Manage relationships with relevant government and regulatory authorities

• Work closely with the international management team

Requirements:

• Significant senior management experience in Africa – must

French-speaking- mandatory!

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Country Manager, Managing Director or in a similar senior leadership position

• Strong P&L and operational management experience

• Experience in energy, utilities, infrastructure services or related industries – strong advantage

• Experience managing substantial field operations and multidisciplinary teams

• Strong commercial and customer-management capabilities

• Excellent leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills

• Ability to operate successfully in a complex African business environment

• French – strong advantage

• Willingness to relocate to Africa
