Cobol Programmer

Comblack is hiring a COBOL Mainframe Developer for a leading organization in Rishon LeZion.

About the Role: Looking for an impactful role in a Mainframe environment, working on mission-critical trading platforms with future growth opportunities into .NET and Open Systems? This is your opportunity. In this role, you will develop and support high-scale trading systems, lead Online and Batch processes, author technical specifications, and leverage AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and support enterprise Mainframe systems for securities and capital markets trading.
• Own and optimize end-to-end Online and Batch transaction processes.
• Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical designs.
• Work extensively with DB2 and SQL databases.
• Utilize AI-powered development tools (e.g., Copilot) to boost development velocity.
• Opportunity to expand technical skill sets into Open Systems and .NET environments.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL development within a Mainframe environment.
• Proven experience with JCL.
• Strong proficiency in DB2 and SQL.
• Solid experience developing and maintaining both Online (CICS) and Batch processes.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver across multiple projects concurrently.

Significant Advantage:

• Prior experience in the capital markets, securities trading, or banking domains.
