About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Field Service & Application Engineer to join our Customer Support team. In this pivotal role, you will be our technical face at international customer sites, ensuring the successful operation, maintenance, and optimization of our complex industrial systems. This position involves extensive international travel (over 50%). Following an intensive training period in Israel, you will deploy to key customer sites, including major facilities in Europe/the UK.

Responsibilities

• System Operation & Application: Run and operate our proprietary systems on-site, ensuring stable production runs, high-quality outputs, and process optimization.
• Maintenance & Repairs: Lead hands-on troubleshooting, perform complex mechanical/fluidic repairs, and execute preventative maintenance to minimize system downtime.
• System Upgrades: Install, integrate, and test hardware and software upgrades directly at the customer’s facility.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary on-site representative, collaborating closely with various customer stakeholders, including operators, facility managers, and site leadership, to ensure smooth system integration and operation.
• R&D Collaboration: Conduct daily meetings with the R&D and engineering teams in Israel to provide field insights, report bugs, and support continuous system improvements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Log machine performance data, service activities, and spare parts inventory, escalating critical technical issues when necessary.

Required Skills

• Technical Experience: Proven hands-on experience in field service, application engineering, or troubleshooting multidisciplinary systems, including hardware, software, mechanics, and fluidics.
• Education: BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a Practical Engineer degree with strong relevant experience.
• Travel: Full willingness and ability to travel internationally for over 50% of the time, including extended trips to customer sites.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical issues in the field.
• Communication & Customer Facing: Fluent English is mandatory, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently manage relationships with diverse stakeholders at the customer site.
• Mindset: Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
• Advantage: Previous experience in industrial printing, inkjet technology, surface coatings, or capital equipment handling.
