Semiconductor Equipment Technician

iTest Israel Ltd. is looking for a Semiconductor Equipment Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and a quality-oriented mindset to join our growing team in Haifa.

What you’ll do:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Handlers, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
• Install, calibrate, upgrade, and integrate new test equipment in collaboration with engineering teams and equipment manufacturers.
• Analyze equipment performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and support activities related to yield improvement, failure analysis, and test process optimization.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, calibrations, equipment performance, and engineering changes.
• Train and support equipment operators and test engineers in proper equipment operation, basic maintenance, and compliance with work procedures.
• Work in a test laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with ESD, safety, and quality procedures.
• Collaborate closely with operations teams and customers to resolve technical issues and continuously improve test processes.
• Participate in the training, implementation, and operation of new equipment as the company’s activities and capabilities expand.

Required Qualifications

• Practical Engineer or Technician diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of electromechanical systems or automated equipment.
• Experience working with test equipment, automation systems, or advanced industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and service manuals.
• Good technical English, including the ability to read and understand technical documentation and manuals.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and apply analytical thinking.
• Willingness to work shifts, as required.

Strong Advantages

• Experience with ATE systems (such as Advantest).
• Experience working with Handlers, Probers, or other semiconductor equipment.
• Experience in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of computer networks, computer systems, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Experience using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
• Experience working with international equipment vendors.
