Team Lead

Founding Engineering Leader | AI Startup

A rare opportunity to join the founding team of a well-funded AI startup with a product already in production, paying customers, and significant usage across live sales environments.

We are looking for a senior, hands-on engineering leader to work directly with the Founder and Product Lead and take full ownership of the company’s engineering activity in Israel.

What you’ll own:

• Product architecture, technology stack, and technical direction

• Reliability of real-time AI, voice, and chat sessions

• End-to-end product quality, monitoring, performance, and failure paths

• Security and privacy controls for sensitive customer data

• Engineering and product development processes

• Recruitment and leadership of the engineering team in Israel

• Post-launch product direction and technical roadmap

What we’re looking for:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience

• Senior or lead engineering experience with genuine product ownership

• Strong hands-on capabilities and a willingness to stay close to the code

• Experience designing architectures and bringing complex products into production

• Strong understanding of backend systems, cloud infrastructure, APIs, and distributed systems

• Experience recruiting, leading, and developing engineering teams

• Product thinking, independence, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment

• Experience with real-time systems, voice, chat, AI/LLMs, or financial environments is a strong advantage

This is not a role focused on maintaining an existing system or managing an established team. It is an opportunity to build, influence, and shape both the product and the engineering organization from an early stage.
