Internal Operations Lead

As the Internal Operations Lead at Kela, you will own the internal infrastructure, resources, and services that enable our teams and projects to operate effectively.

People need a facility, demonstration site, vehicle, insurance, travel, equipment, permits, vendors, a budget, or a plan — Internal Operations makes sure the organization has the infrastructure and mechanisms to make those things happen.

You will work across the company to understand what teams need, plan ahead, allocate resources, manage budgets, and build the infrastructure and processes required to support the organization as it grows.

You will manage a team, but will be hands-on as well. This is a role for someone who is comfortable owning a wide range of internal functions, managing people and resources, and figuring out solutions where no playbook exists.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead Kela’s internal operations, including the infrastructure, resources, services, and processes that support the organization.
• Lead a team of Facilities & Operations Managers, as well as a professional guild of Operations personnel embedded across different projects. Collect cross-company requirements from the project Operations teams, identify common needs, and ensure the infrastructure and resources required to support them are in place.
• Build and manage budgets across internal operations, including facilities, fleet, equipment, physical assets, travel, insurance, and other internal services.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers and ensure the company has the resources and services it needs to operate.
• Coordinate with authorities and military organizations, and provide the infrastructure and support required for field trials, demonstrations, company activities, and other organizational needs.
• Identify gaps in the way the organization operates and independently build practical, lean solutions, processes, and infrastructure to address them.

• 7+ years of experience in internal operations, preferably in a startup or similarly dynamic environment. Relevant military operational experience can also be considered.
• Management experience.
• Builder mentality — able to build processes and infrastructure from scratch in a lean and practical way that fits the company’s stage and needs.
• Experience owning multiple functions, budgets, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently take complex problems from definition to execution, especially when there is no established solution or playbook.
• Highly hands-on and execution-oriented approach.
• Fluent in Hebrew and English.
