Backend Group Lead - .NET

A leading financial organization is looking for an experienced Chapter Lead Back End to join its Mortgage Tribe.

This role combines people leadership with strong technical ownership, providing the opportunity to lead Back-End development teams, drive engineering excellence, and influence the technological direction of business-critical systems.

As part of the role, you will work closely with architects, development teams, and business stakeholders, promoting development best practices, guiding technical decisions, and supporting the evolution of large-scale enterprise applications.

What You Will Do

• Lead and mentor Back-End developers while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

• Drive engineering standards, development methodologies, and best practices across development teams.

• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship.

• Collaborate closely with architects, technology leaders, and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives.

• Support the maintenance, modernization, and evolution of large-scale enterprise systems.

• Promote innovation and the adoption of modern development practices, including AI-driven capabilities.

• Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the technological direction of the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with ASP.NET and WebForms - Must.

• Strong experience with C#, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and SQL Server - Must.

• Significant experience working with large-scale Legacy systems - Must.

• Experience with SOAP, WCF, Web Services, and REST integrations - Must.

• Experience with IIS, deployment processes, and production environments - Must.

• Proven experience leading development teams and providing technical leadership - Must.

• Experience with WebForms - Advantage.

• Experience working in large enterprise environments such as Banking, Insurance, Defense, or similar organizations - Advantage.

• Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and CI/CD processes.

• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, or Blaze Advisor - Advantage.

• Experience integrating AI capabilities into development processes - Advantage.
