Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous operation of production equipment and mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide preventive and corrective maintenance for production machinery and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective technical solutions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain ownership of designated production equipment, including ongoing improvements and optimization initiatives.
• Perform overhauls and refurbishment of mechanical assemblies and components.
• Execute product changeovers and machine setup activities according to production requirements.
• Conduct weekly and monthly preventive maintenance tasks in line with the maintenance department’s work plan.
• Respond to maintenance calls related to production equipment and supporting plant systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Practical Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Mechanic or in a technical maintenance role within an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components, including drive belts, shafts, transmissions, sprockets, conveyors, camshafts, bearings, lubrication systems, and industrial machine assemblies.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, installation instructions, and mechanical documentation in English.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with maintenance-related software and systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach.

Work Schedule:

• Day shift position.
• Availability to work Fridays when required.
