Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Data team at NetApp, where we build agentic products on top of the data platform and services that power them.In this role you will:Take a leading role in the design and development of agentic, customer-facing products for the largest enterprise customers in the world.Design and own the DataOps and analytics platform that powers both our products and business-critical insights: pipelines, services, and data models.Independently lead work end-to-end through the full development cycle: research, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production ownership.Work closely with stakeholders across the group: product, engineering, and business leaders.Our tech stack is diverse: we mainly code in TypeScript (Node.js and React), Python, and SQL, running services on Kubernetes. We use Snowflake, ELK, and vector databases, with Airflow and Superset for data pipelines and BI. We are heavy users of cloud technologies (mainly AWS), including Bedrock LLMs and Knowledge Bases.We use LLM-based coding assistants such as Cursor and Claude Code in our day-to-day work, and we expect you to use them well.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on coding and software design experience.
• Significant work experience with TypeScript and/or Python.
• BSc / MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the design and architecture of large-scale cloud services, and experience taking them to production (AWS / Azure / GCP).
• Experience building and shipping LLM-based features that real users depend on.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards, a strong aptitude for learning new technologies
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and fluent English.
  

Advantages

• Experience with SQL and with relational, analytical, or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar) and with Linux.
• Data engineering at scale: Airflow, Snowflake modeling, streaming, or scanning and processing very large data volumes.
• Experience with React.
