We are hiring a COBOL Developer for a public sector organization located in central Israel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop, maintain, and upgrade core financial systems in an IBM Mainframe environment using COBOL
Write and test code for complex financial systems
Troubleshoot issues and identify Root Cause
Work with databases and technological interfaces
Collaborate closely with Systems Analysts, testing teams, and technical and business stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience in COBOL development in a Mainframe environment
Experience working with DB2 and strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries
Practical Engineer in Computer Science or a degree in Computer Science from a recognized institution
Experience in developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex core systems
Experience working with financial systems – an advantage
