Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Full Stack Developer, located in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. We're looking for a developer who wants to grow into a senior role while working on real production systems operating at scale, across both the front-end and back-end of Shopify-based e-commerce stores.

The Full Stack Developer will build and maintain Shopify stores end-to-end — from custom themes, responsive UI, and Liquid development, to server-side logic, APIs, and database work — as well as develop custom Shopify apps and contribute to Cherry's own internal products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify stores end-to-end — front-end and back-end
• Build custom Shopify apps and integrations
• Contribute to the development of Cherry's internal products and tools
• Implement responsive designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
• Develop and maintain server-side logic, REST APIs, and database integrations
• Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks
• Optimize website performance and ensure a seamless user experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack
• Contribute to the design and architecture of software systems
• Utilize AI tools to improve development efficiency and automate repetitive tasks

Requirements

Must Have

• 2–4 years of experience in full stack development (Node.js preferred for back-end)
• Experience building and maintaining production REST APIs
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await)
• Experience working with databases in production (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or similar)
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or GCP)
• Understanding of clean architecture and separation of concerns
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent English – Required

Nice to Have

• Shopify development experience (Liquid)
• Experience building Shopify apps
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with AI tools and technologies (e.g., ChatGPT, AI-assisted coding tools, automation platforms)
