Senior Payroll Specialist - Israel

Location: Israel | Yehud / Remote within Israel

Contract: 12 months with possible extension

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: 110-118 ILS per hour

We are looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end Israel payroll operations and ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing.

🚨 Mandatory Requirements

• Currently based in Israel - candidates outside Israel will not be considered.
• Active payroll licence valid for payroll practice in Israel - mandatory.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Har-Gal and/or Hilan - mandatory.
• Fluent Hebrew and English - mandatory.
• Strong experience in end-to-end Israel payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Israel payroll processing, including payroll inputs and outputs.
• Handle employee onboarding and termination processes.
• Manage monthly and annual tax and social security reporting and payments.
• Handle year-end activities and Form 101 requirements.
• Ensure accurate payroll calculations and compliance with Israeli tax and employment regulations.
• Manage pensions, benefits, expenses, insurance and other payroll-related administration.
• Work closely with HR Shared Services, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, Compliance and other stakeholders.
• Manage payroll vendors and payroll-related service providers.
• Support payroll audits, risk management and compliance activities.
• Support payroll system changes, implementations and process improvements.
• Maintain payroll documentation and provide payroll guidance to stakeholders.
• Handle payroll-related queries and work closely with relevant teams to ensure timely submissions and payments.
• Support additional country payroll activities as required. Full training will be provided.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on Israel payroll experience.
• Active Israeli payroll licence.
• Strong experience with Har-Gal and/or Hilan.
• Strong knowledge of Israeli payroll legislation, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Experience with pensions, benefits, insurance and payroll-related vendors.
• Good knowledge of payroll and HR systems.
• Strong MS Excel and MS Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
• Hebrew and English fluency.
