I am looking for a highly motivated and curious PhD student to join our lab at the University of Haifa.

Our research focuses on organelle biology, metabolism, aging, and reproduction, with a particular interest in understanding the cellular mechanisms that determine oocyte quality and reproductive aging.

This position is for someone who enjoys experimental science, is hands-on, persistent, independent, and not afraid of challenging work. Research rarely follows the shortest route, so I am looking for a student who is willing to troubleshoot, think critically, learn new approaches, and keep asking questions when the results are unexpected.

The project will combine molecular and cellular biology with advanced experimental approaches, using C. elegans.

I am looking for someone who:

• Has an MSc in biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field

• Is genuinely curious and excited about research

• Enjoys working at the bench and learning new techniques

• Is rigorous, responsible, and highly motivated

• Can work independently while also being part of a collaborative lab

• Is looking for a PhD that will be both demanding and scientifically exciting

Previous experience in molecular biology, cell biology, microscopy, metabolism, mitochondrial biology, or reproductive biology is an advantage.
