HANDS-ON AI / FULL-STACK CTO & CO-FOUNDER

Steady is looking for a hands-on technical co-founder to lead the build of an AI-powered SaaS platform for restaurant operations and hospitality logistics.

This is not an advisory CTO role. This is not a “manage a team from day one” role. We need someone who can architect, build, ship, test, iterate, and own the product end-to-end - from MVP to scalable SaaS.

ABOUT STEADY

Steady is building the intelligent operational layer for commercial kitchens, restaurants, bars, and hospitality environments. Our platform combines Computer Vision, AI, and operational data to reduce manual tracking, identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and generate actionable insights for managers.

Steady is part of the SeaNovation accelerator. 

We are two co-founders with deep restaurant-industry knowledge, strong business expertise, and a broad professional network across the sector - and we are building to solve one of its biggest operational pain points.

An MVP is already in place and has been piloted with our first Design Partner. It was developed with an external provider, and we already have 5 signed LOIs from leading industry players.

MUST-HAVE EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on Full-Stack development experience

• Proven ability to build SaaS products or web applications from scratch

• Backend architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and production deployment experience

• Experience integrating AI / LLM models into real software products

• Strong familiarity with AI-augmented development tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar agentic workflows

• Ability to work independently as the sole technical lead in the early stage

• Strong architectural judgment: knowing when to build a fast MVP and when to design for scale

NICE TO HAVE

• Object detection, video processing, or models such as YOLO

• Video streams, cameras, WebRTC, RTSP, or edge-computing environments

• Restaurant tech, hospitality, retail operations, logistics, or food service technology

• Early-stage MVP or pre-seed product experience

THE CTO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A true builder.

• Someone who can turn product concepts into working software quickly.

• Someone comfortable moving between product thinking, architecture, backend, frontend, cloud infrastructure, AI integrations, and early technical strategy.

• Someone who knows how to build fast - but also understands what needs to be built properly for scale.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• End-to-end development of the next product version

• Frontend web application for restaurant managers and operators

• Backend systems for data ingestion, processing, automation, and reporting

• AI / LLM orchestration and integration

• Connection between Computer Vision outputs and actionable operational insights

• Cloud infrastructure, monitoring, deployment, and reliability

• Engineering standards, documentation, and development workflows

• After funding: recruiting and leading a lean, AI-augmented engineering team

LOCATION - Hybrid / remote-friendly

COMPENSATION

This is an equity-first co-founder opportunity until funding. Following funding and milestone completion, the role will transition into a standard founder salary plus equity package, with standard co-founder vesting.
