Mechanical Engineer

DRS RADA is a global pioneer of radar systems for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical and thermal management solutions for existing products and next-generation systems.
• Design mechanical structures to withstand static and dynamic loads in accordance with military standards.
• Lead product development from concept and requirements definition through mass production.
• Provide ongoing engineering support for existing products, including Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Perform mechanical design using CAD and simulation tools, and conduct laboratory testing.
• Design and build test fixtures and proof-of-concept (PoC) setups.
• Work on a diverse range of engineering projects and technical challenges.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design and electronic packaging/enclosure design.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, and enclosure design.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams, including Systems Engineering and Electronics.
• Hands-on experience with the assembly and testing of mechanical systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
• Good command of English.
  
  

• Experience working with PLM and PDM systems.
• Experience performing thermal and dynamic analyses using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
