Business Unit (BU) Controller

abra is looking for a Business Unit Controller to join our Finance team and take on a broad, business-facing finance role with significant ownership and growth potential.

This is an opportunity for an experienced CPA, ideally coming from a Big 4 environment, who is ready to transition from professional services into a role that combines financial expertise, business partnership, strategic analysis, and hands-on execution.

The role offers close exposure to senior management, involvement in key business decisions, and the opportunity to gradually take ownership of additional areas, including the financial activity of our U.S. business.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ra'anana.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing performance analysis for the business unit.
• Partner closely with business leaders and provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Build financial models, business cases, and management analyses.
• Own key controllership activities, including monthly and quarterly closing processes, financial reporting, controls, and analysis.
• Lead cross-functional finance projects and drive process improvements across the organization.
• Support management in understanding business performance, key financial drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Build and improve scalable financial processes to support a growing technology business.
• Identify opportunities for automation, data-driven processes, and the use of AI within Finance.
• Support the financial activities of the company's U.S. operations and gradually take ownership of this area.
• Work closely with senior management, external auditors, advisors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• CPA certification – mandatory.
• Significant experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, preferably at Senior Associate, Manager, or Senior Manager level.
• Strong experience working with large public companies, preferably global or technology companies.
• Experience leading complex audit engagements, financial processes, or significant areas of responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
• Experience working directly with senior finance stakeholders and management.
• Strong analytical and business-oriented mindset, with the ability to understand the business behind the numbers.
• Proven ownership, leadership capabilities, and ability to independently drive processes from planning through execution.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
