Senior Backend Engineer - AI & Identity

We are looking for a strong Senior Backend Engineer to join our core engineering team and help build the next generation of our Identity Access Management platform.

This role is a great opportunity for experienced backend engineers from Cybersecurity, IAM, SSO, Identity, or enterprise security backgrounds who want to expand into AI and agentic systems.

Previous AI experience is not required.

We are looking first and foremost for excellent software engineers with strong backend and system-design capabilities, who are excited to learn and work hands-on with modern AI technologies.

What you'll do

Design and build complex backend systems and product capabilities end-to-end.

Develop and integrate AI-driven and agentic capabilities into the product.

Connect AI workflows with backend services, APIs, databases, identity systems, and external tools.

Solve production challenges around reliability, state management, retries, failure handling, performance, and scale.

Work on complex problems at the intersection of Identity, Security, Backend Engineering, and AI.

Take significant ownership over architecture, technical decisions, and product development.

Learn and deepen your expertise in LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, and production AI systems.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong hands-on backend development skills.

Strong experience designing and building complex, production-grade backend systems.

Experience with Cybersecurity, IAM, Identity, SSO, Authentication/Authorization, or related security technologies – strong advantage.

Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, databases, system architecture, reliability, and scalability.

Ability to independently own technical challenges from design through production.

Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to quickly learn new technologies.

Genuine interest in AI, LLMs, and agentic systems and motivation to develop deep expertise in the field.

Nice to have – not required

Previous hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, or AI workflows.

Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Google ADK, or similar frameworks.

Experience with Vertex AI or other cloud AI platforms.

Experience integrating AI capabilities into production systems.
