At Alteco, we are building a comprehensive platform for electricity billing, advanced reporting, and precise energy forecasting. What You’ll Do

• End-to-End Ownership: Develop features from start to finish—spanning the Client (React), Backend (Node.js/Python), and Infrastructure (AWS)—to power our billing engines and report generators.
• AI-Native Engineering: Build, deploy, and optimize AI agents, smart automations, and MCP-based infrastructure to connect AI deeply with our energy data and API contracts.
• DevOps & Architecture: Design and manage scalable, distributed cloud architectures (You build it, you run it), ensuring stability for critical database migrations and high-volume data processing.
• Shape the Product: Work closely with the founding team, drive architectural decisions, and directly influence the product roadmap for our forecasting and energy management tools.
• Backend Mastery: Deep knowledge and extensive experience as a Backend Developer. Proven ability to design, build, and optimize complex, scalable, and highly stable server-side systems. You must have a profound understanding of software architecture, memory management, performance optimization, and security.

What We’re Looking For

• The Stack: Proven experience developing complex applications in React and Node.js (TypeScript is a major plus), along with a solid understanding of Python for new AI/data-driven modules.
• Cloud & Data Savvy: Strong hands-on experience with AWS (distributed systems, containers, Serverless) and managing large-scale databases, essential for accurate energy reporting.
• The AI-Era Developer: Fluent use of Cursor, Claude, or Copilot as an integral part of your workflow. You know how to leverage AI tools to move at the speed of an entire team.
• Agentic Thinker: Concepts like MCP, LLM Tool Calling, and complex automations are your bread and butter. You've built agents that go beyond simple API wrappers.
• Builder DNA: Independent and resourceful, with a passion for shipping working, profitable products in a dynamic environment while maintaining clean code.
