Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer JB-5150

A company specializing in the development of multidisciplinary systems is seeking a Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer. The company specializes in developing systems in two main fields: sonar and underwater acoustics, and communications (Microwave and RF).

Reports to: Mechanical Team Leader

Job Description:

• Join the company's mechanical development team and work closely with development teams, management, and customers.
• Develop mechanical enclosures for the company's marine systems.
• Develop ruggedized and industrial enclosures for project systems, including airborne and ground-based systems.
• Perform thermal, structural, and dynamic analyses using SolidWorks Simulation.
• Support the development and design of the company's electronic circuits in relation to mechanical packaging and enclosures.
• Understand and support transition processes from development to production.
• Support, manage, and inspect mechanical manufacturing at subcontractors, as well as assembly of systems during the integration stage.
• Perform field installations and provide support to the company's customers in Israel and abroad.

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in mechanical development.
• Proven experience developing mechanical enclosures for complex systems.
• Proven experience designing enclosures with an emphasis on heat dissipation using passive and active methods.
• Strong ability to present designs and interface with customers, management, and electronic development teams.
• Experience and ability to perform structural and thermal analyses – mandatory.
• Experience designing enclosures for marine/underwater applications – an advantage.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks – mandatory.
• Knowledge of PDM – mandatory.
• Knowledge of Priority – an advantage.
• Very good English.
