We are looking for a Test Team Leader

At BlueBird Aero Systems, we build groundbreaking UAV systems in support of our customers’ ever-changing security needs. For us, testing isn’t just a phase at the end of the assembly line; it is our final, most critical line of defense before our systems reach the customer.

If you are a Practical Electronics Engineer who knows how to lead people, but your heart truly lies in complex troubleshooting and integration your place is with our Test team.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in complex testing of electrical and electronic assemblies, able to identify, diagnose and fix faulty products down to component level while using the required equipment and following the correct procedures; staring with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and all the way to Final Products.

Job Description

Managing and leading a testing team responsible for planning, executing, and improving testing processes at the board, sub-assembly, and electronics system levels, while ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with engineering requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of technicians in stages of in-process and final testing
• Execute testing processes in accordance with required specs and procedures (ATP)
• Analyze test results, identify, diagnose and fix faulty components
• Complete and document test reports (ATR)
• Set up, operate and maintain bespoke and standard test equipment
• Meet Quality and Schedule requirements.
• Continuous improvement of testing methodologies, automation, and process efficiency.
• Training new employees and preserving professional knowledge within the team.

Working with Internal Interfaces:

• Ongoing collaboration with R&D/Engineering and Production departments.
• Involvement in product development stages to optimize testing processes.

Education & Professional Experience Requirements

• Practical Electronics Engineer – Must.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation – Must.
• At least 5 years of experience in electronic and/or electrical testing – Must.
• Experience in managing a technical team – Significant Advantage.
• Experience working with testing and measurement equipment.
• Experience in testing tactical UAV systems and ground communication units – Significant Advantage.
• Strong technical approach and troubleshooting capabilities.

Personal Skills

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Good interpersonal skills and a strong team-player mindset.

Languages

• Hebrew – Native level.
• English – Good professional level (writing, reading, and speaking).
• Additional languages – Advantage.

Additional Requirements

• Readiness for work travel in Israel and abroad as needed.
• Availability to support customer and field activities when required.
• Security clearance – Advantage.
