Role Description The Actuarial Assistant is a full-time hybrid role based in West Jerusalem, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this position, the Actuarial Assistant supports actuarial projects by gathering and analyzing data, performing statistical and mathematical calculations, and preparing reports and summaries for internal and client stakeholders. Daily tasks include assisting with pricing and risk models, validating assumptions, documenting methodologies, and maintaining data quality. The role collaborates closely with actuaries, data analysts, and business teams to translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for financial and insurance clients.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and support actuarial decision-making.
- Solid foundation in statistics and mathematics relevant to actuarial work, including probability and modeling.
- Knowledge of insurance concepts, products, and risk management principles.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain quantitative findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software, or programming languages such as R or Python).
- Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Interest in innovation and data-driven problem solving in the financial and insurance sectors; prior internship or relevant experience is an advantage.
