.NET & SQL Server Developer – Back Office Product OwnerAbout the Role

We are looking for an experienced .NET Developer with strong SQL Server and DBA expertise to take end-to-end technical ownership of our Back Office product.

This is a hands-on and highly responsible role combining software development, database ownership, system maintenance, and modernization. A significant part of the product’s business logic currently resides within the SQL Server database, making deep database knowledge essential.

The successful candidate will own the existing solution while playing a key role in modernizing and gradually migrating it to a modern web-based architecture using .NET and React.

• Take end-to-end technical ownership of the Back Office product, from requirements and design through development, deployment, and production support.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance the existing .NET application.
• Work extensively with Microsoft SQL Server, where a significant portion of the application’s business logic is implemented.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Triggers.
• Take responsibility for database performance, including indexing, execution-plan analysis, query optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Perform DBA-related responsibilities as part of the overall ownership of the product.
• Lead the technical modernization of the existing application and its gradual migration to a modern architecture based on React and .NET.
• Design and develop APIs and backend services to support the new architecture.
• Continuously improve system architecture, code quality, performance, stability, maintainability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity, code quality, refactoring, testing, documentation, and analysis.
• Work independently while collaborating closely with development, implementation, support, and product teams.

• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience with .NET
• Strong experience developing and maintaining complex business applications.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and complex queries.
• Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Experience analyzing execution plans and resolving database performance issues.
• Practical knowledge of SQL Server administration / DBA activities.
• Experience developing REST APIs and web-based applications.
• Knowledge of React and modern frontend development.
• Experience or strong familiarity with modern application architecture and migration of legacy applications.
• Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently take ownership of a complex product and drive tasks from problem identification through production deployment.

• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy .NET applications to modern web architectures.
• Experience working with database-heavy enterprise applications where significant business logic resides in SQL Server.
• Strong DBA background in addition to software development experience.
• Experience with cloud environments and modern CI/CD processes.
• Experience with enterprise software, ERP integrations, or business-critical applications.
