Senior Bioinformatician | Innovative Biotech Company

A groundbreaking biotech company in Tel Aviv, developing advanced genetic technologies for personalized nutrition and medication, is looking for an experienced Bioinformatician to join our R&D team.

This is a unique opportunity to analyze large-scale genomic data and develop advanced bioinformatics pipelines with real-world impact.

What you’ll do:

• Analyze and interpret large-scale genomic data
• Develop and optimize bioinformatics pipelines and algorithms
• Work with sequencing data, genomic databases, and variant analysis
• Collaborate with researchers, software engineers, and medical professionals

Requirements:

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Biology, or a related field
• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience analyzing genomic and sequencing data
• Experience with bioinformatics tools, pipelines, and databases
• High-level proficiency in Linux environments
• Experience working with large datasets

Advantages:

• Experience with WGS and variant interpretation
• Familiarity with FASTQ, BAM/CRAM, and VCF formats
• Experience with NGS pipelines and tools such as GATK, DRAGEN, or similar
• Experience with cloud environments and distributed systems
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or statistical genetics
