Role Description

PAXIS is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in a full-time, on-site position at the Tefen Industrial Area, Northern Israel.

The Mechanical Engineer will take an active role in engineering projects across the product lifecycle, from development through industrialization and serial production.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading engineering projects and product engineering activities.
• Providing hands-on engineering support to production.
• Managing multidisciplinary engineering projects and supporting the transition from development to production.
• Working closely and directly with the production floor to solve engineering and manufacturing challenges.
• Supporting product and process improvements.
• Coordinating engineering activities across R&D, Production, Quality, and other internal functions.
• Working with customers, suppliers, and industry partners in Israel and internationally.
• Managing multiple engineering tasks and projects while maintaining a system-level perspective.

The position combines engineering responsibility with direct involvement in manufacturing and provides an opportunity to see projects progress from development into real-world production.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial experience required.
• Previous experience in industry, particularly in process-oriented manufacturing and production processes, required.
• High-level English required.
• Experience managing engineering, development, or manufacturing projects, an advantage.
• Knowledge of engineering design and CAD software, an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to independently lead multiple tasks, projects, and interfaces.
• Strong system-level thinking and ability to drive assigned responsibilities forward.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
• Experience with advanced materials, ceramics, or related manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Full-time position, with additional hours as required.
