Back End Developer

COMBLACK is hiring a Principal Engineer!

We’re looking for a highly experienced, hands-on Principal Engineer to join a COE team within the CTO organization – a team that operates like a tech startup and drives innovation across AI, Cloud, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Architecture, and Developer Experience.

In this role, you’ll lead strategic technology initiatives, explore and implement cutting-edge technologies, design scalable architectures, build engineering platforms, and influence the development experience of hundreds of engineers across the organization.

What are we looking for?

• 7+ years of software development experience

• Strong hands-on Backend development experience with Java & Spring Boot – Mandatory

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker – Mandatory

• Strong experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, REST APIs, and complex integrations – Mandatory

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD – Mandatory

• Experience in Platform Engineering and Developer Experience – Mandatory

• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI and building AI Agents – Mandatory

• Strong architectural thinking and the ability to lead technology initiatives across teams
