Using our platform, customers can interact with thousands of cameras in natural language and deploy AI agents that understand what is happening across their physical environments.

We are building the infrastructure layer for AI-powered video intelligence.

We're looking for an unusually technical Solutions Engineer who can own a customer from the first technical conversation all the way to a successful production deployment.

This is not a traditional pre-sales role where you run a demo and hand the customer over to somebody else.

And it is not a traditional DevOps role where you stay behind a terminal.

You will do both.

One day you might be presenting Argu to a room of executives and security leaders. The next, you might be inside a customer server room debugging network routes, configuring a VPN, connecting to a VMS, deploying Docker containers, or figuring out why an RTSP stream is dropping frames.

You should be able to walk into almost any customer environment and figure out how to make Argu work.

You will be the technical face of Argu throughout the customer journey, from first conversation, demo, architecture and proposal through installation, integration, go-live and ongoing support.

• Lead end-to-end product demos for technical and business stakeholders
• Understand the customer's environment, problems, and requirements
• Translate customer requirements into compelling production use cases
• Answer deep technical questions with confidence
• Design the proposed architecture together with the customer
• Help prepare scopes of work, technical proposals, and business-supportive documents
• You will build decks and presentations
• Build trust with security operators, IT teams, CISOs, and executives

You should genuinely enjoy the performance aspect of this job. You can command a room, tell a story, and get people excited about what we are building.

What you won't do:

• This is not a sales role
• You will not hunt leads, find customers, chase opportunities, or generate any new line of business.
• You will not manage live customers or partners
  

You own making the system actually work.

• Deploy Argu into cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments
• Work comfortably inside Linux environments
• Deploy and troubleshoot Docker-based infrastructure
• Integrate Argu with existing VMS, NVR and camera infrastructure
• Connect and validate RTSP/video streams
• Configure networking, VPNs, firewall rules, routing and connectivity
• Work directly with customer IT and security teams
• Troubleshoot strange customer environments until the system is live
• Travel to customer sites when remote deployment isn't enough
• We appreciate any previous DevOps experience or willingness to learn

We care much more about whether you can figure things out than whether you have seen the exact environment before.

• Be the primary technical relationship with the customer during evaluation and deployment
• Own the technical project from initial discovery through production
• Keep customers moving instead of waiting for someone else internally
• Manage technical issues and support tickets for the customers you own
• Troubleshoot problems directly and involve engineering only when necessary
• Make customers feel that there is someone for them who completely owns their success
  

This is a technical role first.

You should come from a serious technical background, ideally DevOps, infrastructure, systems engineering, solutions architecture or production engineering.

You should be comfortable with:

• Linux
• Docker
• Networking
• VPNs
• Firewalls
• DNS, routing and ports
• APIs
• Cloud and on-premise environments
• Debugging unfamiliar infrastructure
• Reading logs and finding the actual problem

You do not need to be a full-time software engineer, but basic scripting in Python, Bash or similar languages is highly valuable.

Experience with video systems is highly preferred.

You should understand concepts such as:

• CCTV architectures
• IP cameras
• RTSP
• ONVIF
• NVRs
• VMS platforms
• Video streams, codecs and network bandwidth

Experience with platforms such as Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, Hikvision or similar systems is a major advantage.

Being technically excellent isn't enough.

We need someone who is:

• Comfortable presenting to senior executives
• Comfortable arguing for a technical recommendation
• Good at reading a room
• Capable of turning complicated infrastructure into a simple explanation

You should be as comfortable giving a high-stakes customer demo as you are SSHing into a Linux server.

You have a strong bias toward ownership.

You feel comfortable working in a startup, where you don't have everything ready - and sometimes you need to create the materials by yourself.

When something doesn't work, your instinct isn't to open a ticket and wait.

You investigate it, you read the logs, you call the customer's IT team, you fix the deployment, and you stay with it until the customer is live.

If you are equally excited by winning the technical sale and making the deployment actually work, this role is for you.

Plus, you must be a person we can have a beer with after work!
