Applied AI Engineer

We’re looking for a fullstack engineer who wants to be out in the field (AKA: Applied AI Engineer)

You match the technical depth of a backend/platform engineer, but you thrive on fast execution, real-world complexity, and deploying on-site right next to the people using your code.

The Bar:

• 3+ years in SWE / Field Engineering: Deep backend fundamentals and battle-tested production debugging skills.
• Integrations & Legacy Systems: Proven experience untangling complex third-party APIs, working with legacy software, and building safe, resilient systems inside live customer environments.
• Ambiguity to Production: Ability to take messy, ill-defined problems and independently drive them end-to-end all the way to production.
• High Agency: Exceptional communicator, comfortable with high uncertainty, and ready to travel to client sites.
• AI-Native: Hands-on experience building with LLMs, Agentic frameworks, and modern AI stacks.
• Red-Pilled: Anti-hype and grounded - you care about what actually works in production over theoretical elegance or buzzwords.

Advantage: Ex-founder background or early-stage startup experience.
