We’re Hiring: Pharmaceutical Business Development Associate – Healthcare Innovation

ABLE Tx is a clinical-stage ophthalmology company developing innovative, non-invasive pharmaceutical treatments for retinal and ocular surface diseases. We are looking for a motivated Pharmaceutical Business Development Associate to join our team and work closely with management across scientific, clinical and business initiatives.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role offering the opportunity to contribute ideas, take ownership of specific projects and grow within the company.

Key responsibilities:

• Support engagement with investors, venture capital funds and strategic industry partners
• Identify and evaluate partnership, licensing, commercialization and grant opportunities
• Help develop relationships with pharmaceutical companies, universities, technology transfer offices, researchers and key opinion leaders
• Conduct market and competitive research and analyze technologies, companies, drug candidates, clinical trials and industry trends
• Generate and qualify potential business development leads
• Prepare presentations, pitch materials, proposals, business plans, reports and meeting materials
• Support negotiations, due diligence and the execution of potential transactions and collaborations
• Coordinate follow-ups, maintain an organized pipeline of opportunities and proactively move projects forward
• Collaborate with scientific, clinical and business teams to align activities with the company’s strategic objectives

External communications will be planned in coordination with management, while giving the associate room to contribute ideas, build relationships and advance assigned projects proactively.

We are looking for someone who has:

• An MBA in Healthcare Innovation—required
• A background in medicine, pharmacy, biology or another relevant life-sciences field—required
• An advanced scientific or medical degree—preferred
• Knowledge of or experience in ophthalmology—an advantage
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare business development—an advantage
• Strong business understanding, analytical ability and excellent communication skills
• The ability to understand and integrate complex scientific, clinical and business information and communicate it clearly and simply
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to create professional presentations, pitch decks, posters, emails and other communication and marketing materials
• The ability to respond quickly and produce high-quality communications within short timelines
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Curiosity and a genuine interest in science, technology, medicine and clinical development
• A creative, flexible and solution-oriented mindset
• A self-driven and proactive approach, with the ability to advance assignments independently
• The ability to learn new subjects quickly and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High professional integrity and sound judgment
• Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage

The position may require flexible working hours, including occasional evening or weekend work, as well as travel within Israel or internationally.
