Cloud FinOps Engineer

Our FinOps Engineering team develops cloud-native solutions that help enterprise customers optimize their cloud investments through automation, reporting, analytics, and AI-driven workflows. Most of our development is carried out using Wiv.ai, CloudZone’s FinOps automation platform, where we build scalable solutions, integrations, and workflows for customers across multiple cloud environments.

We’re looking for a technically strong Cloud FinOps Engineer to join our growing team

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain FinOps solutions on Wiv.ai, including automation, reporting, integrations, analytics, and AI-driven workflows.
• Build cloud-native automation, integrations, and workflows using cloud services and APIs.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and cost-anomaly detection capabilities.
• Build reusable FinOps solutions that can scale across multiple customers and cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain integrations with cloud providers and FinOps platforms.
• Work closely with FinOps analysts to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve FinOps applications, automation, and cloud integrations.
• Research and evaluate emerging cloud, AI, and FinOps technologies

What you bring

• Hands-on experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with strong expertise in at least one of them.
• Strong understanding of core cloud services, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, and IAM, as well as their GCP equivalents.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Experience with software development, scripting, or automation using Python, Bash, JavaScript, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing or integrating REST APIs.
• Understanding of FinOps principles, cloud pricing models, and cost-optimization practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted software-development tools and workflows.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have

• AWS or GCP certifications.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) certification.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Experience with SQL and BI or reporting tools.
• Experience with FinOps platforms such as CloudHealth, Umbrella, CAST AI, or Kubecost; familiarity with Wiv.ai is an advantage.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with AI workloads, AI cost optimization, and FinOps for AI concepts.
