Media Analyst

NTU International is preparing a proposal for the project “Communication outreach and engagement on EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf”.

In this context, NTU International is establishing a pool of qualified Non-Key Experts (Senior and Junior) to be mobilised on a short-term, on-demand basis during project implementation (36 months).

The overall objective of this assignment is to provide strategic, technical and logistical communication support to DG MENA in the planning, development and implementation of its day-to-day communication activities, with the aim of strengthening the visibility, outreach and impact of the European Union's policies, initiatives and partnerships across the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region.

Senior Non-Key Expert - Media Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitoring print, broadcast, online and social media coverage related to EU policies, initiatives and partnerships.
• Producing regular media monitoring reports, analytical briefings and media summaries.
• Analysing media trends, public narratives and stakeholder perceptions across the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf region.
• Assessing the reach and effectiveness of communication campaigns and media activities.
• Identifying emerging issues, risks and opportunities that may influence communication strategies.
• Supporting communication teams with evidence-based recommendations and media insights.
• Using media monitoring and analytics tools to collect, analyse and visualise media data.
• Contributing to strategic reporting and communication planning.

Minimum Qualification and Skills

• Degree (or equivalent) in media studies/communication;
• Fluent English;
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools.

Minimum General and Specific Professional Experience

• 5 years' general experience in media analysis/monitoring;
• 3 years' specific experience producing media analysis reports.
