Senior Backend Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core engineering

• Design and build high-performance backend services that execute real-time autonomous decisions for cluster configuration and scaling.
• Develop resilient spot-loss mitigation systems ensuring zero-downtime operations during cloud instance reclamations.
• Extend our ML-driven execution engine to support complex, high-throughput cloud data workloads and emerging AI architectures.
• Handle distributed state, low-latency messaging queues, and cloud data pipelines at massive enterprise scale.
• Build system explainability layers that provide transparent reasoning for autonomous platform decisions to enterprise engineering leadership.

• 6+ years of pure hands-on Backend Engineering experience (Core product or infrastructure focus. Full-stack, data analysis, or team management roles do not count toward this requirement).
• Production mastery of Python or Go as your primary language for daily development.
• Deep AWS experience in production at scale, specifically with services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EMR, Kinesis, or API Gateway.
• Experience with distributed compute or data infrastructure (Spark, EMR, Kubernetes, high-throughput schedulers, or messaging queues).
• Production ownership: Proven track record of carrying on-call rotations for critical production services and shipping architectural fixes.

• Hands-on experience with Big Data platforms at scale (Spark, Databricks, Trino, Flink, or Snowflake).
• Experience with MLOps/AIOps practices or deploying ML models in production.
• Background in cloud cost optimization or FinOps across large infrastructure footprints.
• Prior experience as a Backend Developer in an IDF technology unit (e.g., 8200, Mamram, Ofek).
