Financial Controller – Food Industry

For one of our clients, a growing food company backed by a leading investment fund, we are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take a central role in the company’s financial operations.

Following a significant acquisition and continued business expansion, the company is looking for a finance professional who can combine end-to-end financial ownership with strong commercial understanding. The role involves close collaboration with company management, shareholders, and operational teams in a dynamic and evolving business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and annual closing processes and prepare financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance-monitoring processes.
• Manage cash flow and working capital and provide financial insight to support business decisions.
• Prepare financial analyses, presentations, and management reports for company leadership, shareholders, and the investment fund.
• Work closely with external auditors, consultants, banks, and other professional partners.
• Support efficiency initiatives, improve financial processes, and implement effective controls.
• Support post-acquisition integration processes, including the implementation of procedures and alignment of financial processes across group companies.
• Serve as a financial business partner to department managers and support operational and commercial decision-making.

Requirements

• Israeli CPA qualification – required.
• 4–8 years of relevant professional experience, including experience as a Financial Controller or in a substantial Assistant Controller role – required.
• Experience in an operational, manufacturing, logistics, retail, or industrial company – a significant advantage.
• Experience working with investment funds, shareholders, or boards of directors – an advantage.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities, commercial understanding, and attention to detail.
• Hands-on, proactive approach and the ability to independently lead processes from start to finish.
• Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment and balance day-to-day financial responsibilities with broader business needs.
