Freelance DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join MeteorOps and work on cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and automation projects for our clients.

We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, depending on the project and your availability. Most of our engagements are long-term, and we're interested in building long-term relationships with experienced engineers who enjoy working on challenging projects across different industries.

As most of our clients are based in Israel, the working model may vary between hybrid and remote depending on the project and client requirements.

What you'll be doing:

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code
• Monitor production environments and improve reliability
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues
• Implement security and best practices across cloud environments

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
• Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Good scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Good written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Experience with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux)
• Experience with Helm or Kustomize
• Knowledge of networking and security best practices
• Experience working with high-availability production environments
• AWS, Azure, or Kubernetes certifications
