We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer – Flight Test Installations to join the Aviation Division’s Flight Operations & Flight Test Center.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the mechanical design and installation of flight-test equipment on test aircraft. The position combines mechanical design, problem-solving, and operational engineering in a dynamic environment where solutions often need to be delivered within short timeframes.

What the Role Includes:

• Taking responsibility for the mechanical design of flight-test equipment installations on test aircraft.
• Designing and integrating installations ranging from individual sensors and measurement devices to large and complex instrumentation packages and specialized or non-standard installations.
• Providing engineering support under tight schedules, including developing creative and practical solutions to changes and unexpected requirements during flight-test activities.
• Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, flight-test, and technical support teams.
• Supporting a wide range of engineering and operational challenges throughout the flight-test process.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering – mandatory.
• Experience in mechanical design of aircraft structures or installations – a significant advantage.
• Previous Israeli Air Force service – an advantage.
• Experience working with NX or CATIA – a significant advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to provide practical engineering solutions under tight schedules.

About the Division:

Our Flight Test Center plans and conducts flight-test programs for a wide range of customers. The center draws on decades of experience in testing both military and civilian aircraft, from minor modification projects to full civil certification of newly designed aircraft.

The Flight Test Center provides advanced capabilities for testing new aircraft, new configurations, and new systems.

Every flight test involves multidisciplinary collaboration between engineers, specialized test pilots or UAV operators, technical support teams, and additional professional teams.

In this role, you will play a significant part in a diverse range of operational and technical engineering activities, contributing directly to the successful execution of complex flight-test programs.
