Role Description The Senior Electro-Mechanical Buyer specializing in cables is a full-time, on-site role based in the Tel Aviv District, Israel. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for electro-mechanical components, with a strong focus on cables and related assemblies. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying suppliers, issuing RFQs and purchase orders, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring timely delivery in line with project schedules and inventory targets. The buyer collaborates with engineering, production, and quality teams to define technical requirements, resolve supply issues, and maintain compliance with company standards. The role also involves analyzing market trends, optimizing cost and lead times, maintaining accurate procurement data in ERP systems, and continuously improving supplier performance and procurement practices.
Qualifications

• Strong experience in purchasing electro-mechanical components, particularly cables, connectors, and cable assemblies.
• Background in technical procurement, with the ability to read and understand engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Proven negotiation, sourcing, and vendor management skills, including contract terms, pricing, and long-term agreements.
• Solid analytical and organizational abilities, including experience with ERP systems, data analysis, and inventory control.
• Experience working closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams in a manufacturing or high-tech environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Hebrew proficiency is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions in a fast-paced setting.
• Relevant academic background, such as a degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Prior experience in the Israeli high-tech, defense, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
